What ho, everybody! Nice weather for ducks, eh? And wasps. And solar panels.

Tuesday 4th October
STAND UP FOR THE FIRST TIME
Speaking of ducks and wasps; why did the duck and the wasp cross the road?... well we don't know either, but what we DO know is that there will be a much higher caliber of jokes as 20 improvisers take to stage with 100% brand new stand-up material for their fright and your delight.

The SUFTFT nights are always brilliant and totally free, so roll up roll up for the friendliest stand-up night in London.

Wednesday 5th October
DO NOT ADJUST YOUR STAGE
Those brilliant DNAYS boys open the proceedings with their superb improvised television schedule. All the shows you love (documentaries) and all the shows you love to hate (reality TV, soap operas, adverts, the x-factor, anything with Kerry Katona in) all bought to life before your very eyes.

It's like if the TV Times was funny and had a guitar.

8BIT
It's their first outing for a while and 8bit have a whole new format to wow your lips and blur your vision. Totally freeform improv inspired by some of the best Chicago can offer. Watch them fly like birds and spin like a washer/dryer.
There may even be a special guest or two, who knows?.. it's THAT free.

SPECIAL MENTION - Saturday 8th-Sunday 9th October
CELLBLOCK
As part of The Nursery Festival, a collection of truly fine improvisers embark on the mighty challenge of a 26-hour Improvathon, a show that'll run all the way from 7pm Saturday evening to 9pm Sunday evening.

There are episodes beginning every 2 hours, so either come for the whole marathon, or just pop in now and again for a few episodes and glimpse improvisers battle through sleep deprivation to create amazing stories from within a prison.

It's both mental and brilliant, so it makes sense it'll be directed by his excellency - the Paul Foxcroft.

Saturday 8th October, Sunday 9th October
Time: Doors 7:00pm Saturday night, then every two hours until 9pm Sunday.

Tuesday 27th September
AUSTENTATIOUS: AN IMPROVISED NOVEL
Austentatious are one of our very favourite groups, and they are so classy they should be called a school. From the group The Milk Monitors, comes an exceedingly good improvised novel based on the works of the nation's favourite author: Jane Austen. The audience name the novel, then the talented 'Monitors create the tongue-in-cheek, corset-ridden, highbrow world of Victorian literature for your entertainment.

THE INFLATABLES
In the second half, we welcome joke-trigger-happy shortform comedy from The Inflatables, still freshly squeezed from their Edinburgh debut. With a list of exciting, unpredictable games and scenes, these guys will keep you giggling at least until the end of the show. At least.

Wednesday 28th September
CATCH 23: IMPROV COMEDY SHOWDOWN
Then it's going crazy, with the first of our monthly Improv Comedy Showdowns. Every last Wednesday of the month, from now on, the amazing Catch 23 will sort the improv world into wheat and chaffinch.
3 teams take each other on to be crowned the champions, and winner stays on. It's like a football league, but with lower wages and higher stakes.

Finally, you should know about this because if you're interested you need to move quickly - tickets are selling so fast they might break a sound barrier.
On 23rd November we're doing a Doctor Who special. It's going to be totally amazing, with a line-up that'll have to be seen to be believed. All details are here [link] but if you like Doctor Who, don't miss out.

Tuesday 20th September
THE MUSIC BOX CABARET
Fresh(-ish) from their nearly sold-out Edinburgh Fringe debut, Music Box host their brand new, new show. The Music Box Cabaret features the finest musical and comedy performers money can bribe for an evening of entertainment you can't find on any other street.

The first half features a small gathering of hand-selected acts. This week we have musical comedy songstress JackyWood with her pet guitar,
followed by the marvelous boys of The RH Experience with their award winning brand of 'that nice chap next door' comedy.

Then in the second half, Music Box themselves take to the stage with their amazing Improvised Musical. Just a couple of suggestions from the audience and Music Box create an epic musical adventure, right there in front of you. It has to be seen to be believed.

Tuesday 31st May
Ooh, look at Long-form, look how it flourishes this week. Tuesday at The Miller sees the arrival of a fresh new group with a fresh new approach. Indoor Fireworks' debut show is about to go off. Light them with audience suggestions and stand well back for the glittery magic to happen.
Featuring: Geoff Marshall, Neil Goulder, Vicki Pipe, Clive Moore, Nick Oram, Dan Attfield, Rhys Collier, Holly Prescott and Luke Beahan.

Then, after a Miller hiatus, the incredible Music Box return from their tour of the festivals with a 5-star review and some earwigs under their belt. Music Box are gearing up for a very busy summer and a full Edinburgh Fringe run, so catch them now while you still can.

Wednesday 1st June
8bit kick it all off as seven improvisers grab one single word from the audience and weave it into a whole world of tales and characters. Inspired by Chicago improv with a twist of London Lemon, it's like pouring Budweiser into a tea-cup.

8bit are coached by one-half of this:
... so it gives us great pleasure to welcome the Katy and Rach show to the London Improv stage. Katy Schutte (The Maydays, Music Box, 8bit coach) is joined by Alexis Gallagher as he steps into Rach's shoes for one show only. Alexis (Upright Citizens Brigade, Burn Manhattan) normally directs Katy And Rach, so this show is going to be extra-specially ace.

London Improv presents: We Are The New Them, Live

For the Pentecost Festival this year, two brilliant groups - Music Box and 8bit - introduce impro to a whole new environment. In a proper theatre with seats and lights and everything. It's going to be pretty down-right marvellous, like having a laugh with your mates but every single one of those mates has trained for years to make themselves even funnier.

And with Christian Aid on board too you might even learn something about the world around you.

Or you might not. You might just laugh a lot.
That’s a risk you’ll have to take.
